1969 Corvette Roadster
Completely restored to original look.
|This car was completely rebuilt and restored with no expense spared. The restoration goal was to maintain the original look in every way but eliminate the known problems that came with the car came from the factory. It looks exactly as it left the factory but starts, runs, drives, and maintains like a new car. The only major driveline component that is not original is the transmission, but the original, undamaged, 4-speed Muncie transmission goes with the car.|
If you have always loved the look of this classic marque but were dissapointed with it's factory flaws and reliability, this is the car for you. All of it's factory flaws have been fixed so that it starts and drives like a new car.
This is really two cars in one. It comes with a white convertible top that stows neatly under the rear deck completely out of site when lowered. It also comes with a rare factory hard top covered in black vinyl with the matching red interior which instantly gives the car the look of a coupe.
CHASSIS - Body off restoration with rebuilt frame, all new body mounts, rebuilt trailing arms with new wheel bearings, and new shock absorbers. VIN=194679S735380
ENGINE - Original 350ci block and heads all rebuilt with new pistons, bearings, seals, new cam. New water pump, chrome plated oil pan and valve covers. Engine Code=V1106HY (HY means 350ci with 300hp Manual Transmission, but it has at least 350 hp now)
TRANSMISSION - New Tremec 5-speed transmission (will handle up to 600hp), drive shaft & clutch designed and built for this vehicle. All new universal joints on both half shafts. Ratios = 2.87, 1.89, 1.28, 1.0, .064. Original 4-speed Muncie transmission still with car (Transmission code=P9K01A GM #=3857584).
DIFFERENTIAL - Factory posi-traction limited slip differential rebuilt with proper tags & oils. Transaxle code ICAM 11 11 69.
CLUTCH - New clutch and throw out bearing.
FUEL SYSTEM - New fuel tank, fuel lines, fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator, with Edlebrock 4 barrel performer carburetor & Eldebrock intake manifold. Carburetor expertly tuned at idle, half throttle, and wide open throttle with wide band fuel-oxygen meter.
EXHAUST SYSTEM - All new 2 ½" pipes with stainless steel DynoMax Ultra Flow mufflers and stainless steel tips. Has a great "Throaty" sound.
WHEELS & TIRES - All 5 original Rally wheels sandblasted, primed and painted with multiple coats. New polished stainless steel trim rings. Chrome center caps are original and in great shape. All 5 GoodYear GT raised white letter tires have very few miles on them, easily 90% rubber left.
SPARE TIRE HOLDER - Completely rebuilt fiberglass/metal holder which holds full size spare tire.
STEERING SYSTEM - New tie rods, complete new OEM power steering system, rebuilt steering gearbox with all new bearings, balls, and seals with synthetic grease. OEM tilt/telescoping steering column.
BRAKE SYSTEM - New chrome plated double diaphragm vacuum brake assist system, new chrome plated master cylinder, new stainless steel 4 piston calipers on all four corners, new rotors and pads. New hard brake lines and new flexible brake lines to each wheel. New brake shoes on rear wheels for emergency/parking brake.
BODY - completely rebuilt original body with all traditionally weak points in fiberglass repaired and reinforced. With 2 coats primer, 2 coats base coat (original Monza Red), 2 coats clear. All new chrome emblems. Two 1969 fuel doors included, one body colored OEM style (shown) and one chrome plated. All body gaskets are new (doors, windows, hood, trunk, deck, top). All keys and locksets are new. Exterior code=974, (Monza Red).
CHROME - All front bumpers and over riders new. Rear bumpers original but very good.
ELECTRICAL - All new wiring with new fuse box, new chrome plated alternator, and new starter motor. New Electronic MSD distributor with proper mechanical tachometer output. New MSD Ignition with rev limiter. New Magnecore spark plug wires, and blaster coil.
SECURITY SYSTEM - A custom designed, built in security system has been installed to immobilize vehicle. You can leave the keys hanging in the ignition and it will not be going anywhere without first satisfying the securty system.
VACUUM - All new vacuum hoses, rebuilt wiper door vacuum actuator, rebuilt headlight vacuum actuators, and new vacuum accumulator tank.
SOUND SYSTEM - New console bezel and new Pioneer head unit with CD player and Aux input with remote. New combination speakers in original position. Signal and power wires installed under carpet to rear compartment for future powered rear subwoofer. Automatic retractable antenna.
INTERIOR - All new interior vinyl and carpet with new under carpet padding, and new Corvette mats. New leather seats with new cushions & springs on original sand blasted and re-painted seat frames. New dash. Interior color is original red. Interior code=407, (Red Vinyl upgraded to leather).
COOLING HEATING - New radiator and new expansion cooling tank, all new hoses, custom flow shutoff to new cabin heater core for summer and rebuilt air plenum with new blower fan motor. New windshield wiper motor and wipers. Has a high efficency radiator fan installed but comes with the original heat clutch fan that can be installed in just minutes.
TOPS - New white convertible top with new headliner - super clean. Factory hardtop, black vinyl with matching red interior.
|MISC- All new body gaskets & seals, all new light bulbs. Shop, assembly, wiring and operating manuals. Custom fit car cover. New window seals and wipers.
